Newlywed News

We have officially been The Greens for 3 weeks and are loving every moment (granted we only see each other about an hour a day due to our/his crazy schedule).  Sundays are our favorite days because we get to sleep in, eat a good breakfast, go to church (which we really like our new ward) and enjoy the relaxing day together.

First self photograph as the The Greens right after watching a Japanese chef dominate our meal at a Japanese Steak House, Tepenyaki's, while sitting across from the chubbiest 9-year-old who ate ice cream and soda for dinner and had his dad as his own personal walking machine.

Our new ward consists of our three surrounding blocks.  Bishop lives across the street.  A little like big brother, but nice to have everyone so close at the same time.  It also makes our neighborhood a little less mysterious as well as giving it a safer feeling since we know everyone that surrounds us.

We finally decided on a honeymoon!! The week before the open house in May, we will be chillaxin' in San Diego with the animals and beach bums.  We are excited to go to the zoo and Sea World.  We almost got the package with the close encounter with the balooga whales and polar bears, but Dallin got scared.  Needless to say one close encounter was quite a few $$$.  We are, however, looking into the dolphin experience.  Dallin is all about swimming with the dolphins...

Last weekend, we celebrated spring (in freezing rocky mountain "spring" weather) with another couple we knew from SLO, by going to the Krishna temple in Spanish Fork.  There, they carry on the India tradition of colored chalk throwing.  BEST IDEA EVER!  Basically, you get crushed, colored chalk and can throw it in the faces of ANYONE and EVERYONE within your reach.  The clothing worn that day is now a lovely pink, undergarments included, and Dallin still gets a surprise color of earwax each morning he cleans his ears.  Its like a little present everyday.  Anyway, I highly recommend the festivities to all and kind of wish it were a weekly thing.  Someone chewing loudly behind you in a restaurant? Chalk in the face.  Getting tailgated?  Chalk them!  Getting a little annoyed with the bad mood of a coworker?  BAM! Chalk in the face and the mood is lightened.  Love it.  However, we were called monsters as we walked to our cars upon returning home by 10-year-old children.  Good times.

April Fool's was a good day (although Papa B. might not agree).  We very convincingly told him that he was going to be a grandpa to which he was very excited yet perplexed as to how we could find out so soon that we were pregnant.  After carrying on the joke for half the day, we decided to remind him of what day it was.  Good times, indeed.

Other than that, we have just been going on with our busy lives, staying out of trouble.  Still no dining table, but it is in the works.  For the time being, we are eating Asian style on the floor. 

Hoping spring comes, and decides to stay, soon!  Love you all.
