We all are in shock that this little bug is 1 month old! Maybe living half of that time in the NICU attributes to us thinking he is younger, but either way we absolutely love this little man. He got to see his cardiologist for a follow up on his PDA (a little hole on his heart) and ASD (chambers not qutie "communicating" well). Being the amazing little man he is, both are completely gone, meaning he has a completely normal and healthy heart. As his cardiologist said when we asked if this was rare for DS babies, "He is one lucky little boy." We were sitting there thinking, "WE are the lucky ones to have him."
Here's what he has been up to:
- Sleeps a lot
- 9lbs 7oz
- A champ at tummy time
- Eats like a pro wrestler which is awesome since I have tons of milk for him to have
- Getting more and more independent without his oxygen
- Outside is a favorite
- Always turns his head to find Luke
- Very much a carrot top at this point
- Squawks like a peacock when he is hungry
We are hoping he keeps his awesome red hair because it is awesome. Little carrot top cutie!
What a handsome little ginger you have there!! :) What a blessing that he has a healthy heart and wont have to deal with the trauma of the surgeries that go along with heart defects. So glad he is eating and sleeping good! Those are the two things on most moms of newborns, amirite!? I'm glad it didn't take Luke long to forgive you. As we anticipate having a second child (nope, not pregnant, just thinking about it) I worry a little about taking the only child status away from Nathan. So glad you guys are doing well. We are praying for you!
