A Game

Dallin and I have recently discovered a new game to do while we are waiting for anything and everything.  Tonight it was for a concert to start at the Utah Arts Festival.  The concert never started, but we stayed entertained for a good 45 minutes.  The game is quite simple.  All you need is a camera.  You then go to different pictures and zoom in close on one aspect of the photo.  The other player then has to guess the whole picture.  In celebration of this pastime discovery, we decided it would be fun to make our blog readers play in order to guess what we will talk about.  Ready?  Don't cheat by looking ahead.  Take a good guess first.  Okay....Here we go!

If you guessed our wedding cake you would be correct!  We have been craving this lately which is crazy considering how much of it we had to consume.  However, with the hot weather, some fresh leomony goodness right out of the refrigerator would be the perfect solution!

The game "Things!"  We recently busted this favorite out at our first dinner party.  We invited a few couples and friends that we had not seen in a while to come over for a nice little backyard munching, fire in our firepit, and 'Things".   This game was an instant favorite with me due to the game's ability to give insight on how people think and we all know how I LOVE to study people.  Basically, the cards have random thoughts on them such as "things that are politically incorrect" or "things you would do in a city wide blackout." Each player then writes down his or her answer, anonymously.  Each player then has to guess which answer belongs to who.  I have talked about this game before, but it is so good that it is worth mentioning again.  The bug spray was a must that night seeing as the mosquitoes have decided it is warm enough to come out and boy are they hungry!  The first night I went out with no bug spray on, my leg got sucked within minutes causing a swollen knee for three days.  If you didn't know before, you can now rest assured knowing that I have intense reactions to bug bites.  It makes for good laughs.

OOGA BOOGA!  Red raccoon status.  Dallin got to go to The Canyons in Park City with his bosses for lunch, luging and ziplining; yes, they still spoil him.  While waiting for the 1/2 mile zipline for an hour and a half, my darling husband (who does not think sunscreen is a daily necessity...yet) managed to get the classic raccoon sunburn on his handsome little face.  I'm working on the sunscreen with him.  I am a strong believer in sunscreen.  In fact, today I borrowed one of my kiddo's which was marked SPF 100.  I do not think SPF 100 is any different than SPF 70, but in the scorching sun during recess, my skin came out unharmed.

Last but not least...

We recently purchased great tickets on Frontier Airlines.  They fly mainly to Denver which means....we are coming to Colorado to visit the weekend of July 22nd!  Thank you Utah Pioneers for founding Utah in the summer so that we could have a three day weekend and visit Colorado.  Also, it is Dallin's birthday weekend and he loves apple pie which means he can have Grandma D's famous apple pie made by the master herself.

We really are excited to go to Colorado, but first we make a stop in little McCammon, Idaho for Independence Day weekend for the Green family reunion.  Lots of trips!

Thanks for indulging our little game.  We like to think we are entertaining.  We love you all and leave you with our favorite "So You Think You Can Dance" routine of this season thus far (yes, another season has started and it has been AMAZING!) Hugs, kisses and well wishes.
