Poor Parenting 101

Dallin's sister, Katie, and her family stopped in to visit on their long journey up to grandma Green's in Idaho.  Since they had been cooped in a car for 12 hours, the little kiddos had more energy than monkeys in a crate.  This resulted in some glow in the dark pirate golfing at Fat Cats along with some bowling, followed by Dallin and I taking them to the park near our house while Katie and Scott got to visit some pawn shops.

This is were our poor parenting comes in.

At the this park there is a section dedicated solely to things that spin.  LOTS of spinning.  We figured let the kids spin their energy out.  After about 40 minutes of spinning, poor Roo came and sat next to me saying he didn't feel so well.  Soon after I told him to take a little break from spinning, his pizza and apple he had for lunch were on the wood chips at his feet.  Oops!

Poor Roo

Aftermath

After Dallin laughed, took pictures and we had him cover it with wood chips, we came home upon which he promptly fell asleep.  I thought for sure we had a killed the poor kid.  However, after his little snooze, he was fine and ready for ice cream.

Guess we will write that one down: do not let the children spin for 40 minutes...
