While here, we tried a restaurant here in Bountiful that had Philly Cheese steaks since Dallin is a little in love with the sandwich. We have come to realize that many of the locally owned Bountiful franchises are quite amazing at customer service. The first place we went when we first moved here was a little Thai place which had a great ambiance. The chef/owner himself came out to take our orders and help us figure out exactly what would be good for our palattes that day. He also gave Luke a free cupcake for giving him a fist bump. The second place we went was a BBQ place that, again, had the owner right there at the grill making the food and chatting with the customers. This place, Vito's, was not only delicious, the owner makes the food and trusts the customer to pay their own bill. He had basket of money, told us our total, then let us pay and do the change. I mean, honestly, where are we living?! Anyway, everyone was pleased with their meal and Luke made it perfectly clear that Bubs trumps mom any day.
The next day, we kept up with the tradition of going on a hike whenever nana and Bubs visit, mainly because we like to have Brad explain all the rock formations (jokes!), and visited the Mueller Park, which is right down the road from us. It is a mostly shaded hike, which meant that we got to inadvertantly train for a mud run due to the melted snow still creating extremely squishy conditions. Luke thought the "Squelching" sound was pretty awesome. Next time, we will have to go a little farther and find this "Elephant Rock" we kept hearing everyone talk about.
On Sunday, Bubs had to leave, but we got nana for one more day. We took her the Salt Lake Cemetery, because that is a perfectly normal Sunday activity. Honestly, though, I kind of love this cemetery. Next time you find yourself in Salt Lake, visit it!
