For Father's Day this year, we let Dallin sleep in because he usually a rock-star dad and gets up with the boys to have breakfast with them, and made him waffles to enjoy in bed without battling any food-flinging littles. We then got dressed and went for a wonderful hike in Ferguson Canyon. We have been on this hike before, but never in the summertime. Usually, when we get to a certain spot, it is just too steep for us to climb up loose rocks and what not, but this time there was a wonderful creek that was rushing down that made it easier for us to climb up on the side banks. We had gone farther than we had been in the past, and it was gorgeous.
That night, we made bratwurst for dinner because Dallin has been talking about them for quite some time now. Every time I ask what I should plan for dinner, bratwurst are a common suggestion from him.
We are so grateful for such an amazing daddy! He is the ying to my yang, the calm to my anxiety prone, over thinking self. He is the best wrestler with our excited about life boys and can make a mean pancake. He is always a voice of reason to remind me that our boys need to be little boys and teaches them the best dance moves at our daily dance parties. Happy Father's Day to the best daddy for our littles.
