All Moved In

 After a month of slowly moving our belongings, a little quaff with our ex-landlord (further increases my dislike for landlords and solidifies that moving was the right thing to do), and a long Saturday of heavy lifting and organizing, we are finally official residents of Horne Avenue.  Here is the grand tour of our humble abode:

As you can see, we still have the wood paneling.  That, combined with the lower ceilings makes us feel as though we are camping all the time, which is not necessarily a bad thing.  It stays nice and cool on hot days which is a HUGE improvement from our old place that would get up to 90 degrees each day.  We somehow fit all of our kitchen items into the kitchen cupboards, minus the food which we strategically put in the "bat cave."  A perk is all of the storage space we have.  We have the one seen in the video, along with a shed in the backyard on our own little 10 foot by 10 foot plot of land that we are allowed to do whatever we please.  We also have full access to the front and backyard, which is always a good little bonus.  The people above us are an older couple that seem quite nice and have already shared their plenty of fresh grown tomatoes.   We have made it our home and are happy and healthy!

Other than that, Dallin started his first week at the University of Utah and is enjoying his classes, I am just working away with my new set of 18 three-year-olds whom are much more energetic than the last batch, and we are anticipating the visit of the Baldwin clan as they stop through on their way to drop Bubs at BYU-Idaho.

Which brings us to our Saturday activity (after the Princess Party which Dallin thoroughly enjoyed...), shopping for Brad.  We ventured out to Costco and Wal-Mart, two of the busiest places in Salt Lake on a Saturday, and collected the items Brad had on his college list.  I think we did a mighty good job!

We also recently went to Costco to get food, since we had NONE while moving, and found some Pluots.  I have been a huge fan of Pluots (a hybrid of an apricot and a plum) since I worked at Brown's Valley Market and the produce manager would give me them on a daily basis.  However, Dallin had never heard of the fruit from heaven.  So, we bought the bulk size from Costco seeing as Costco produce is usually pretty good.  They did not let us down!  Dallin instantly fell in love with them as he bit into one of these little treasures on the drive home.  I do believe he is addicted now to which I will not complain one little bit.

 We also went and saw "Thor" last night at the dollar theater.  First of all, we discovered how INCREDIBLE the dollar theater is.  I mean really, $4 for TWO tickets!!  Incredible.  Second, Thor has replaced Robert Redford.  I had to admit to Dallin after the movie that I had changed legions when it came to my Hollywood crush.  Robert, you are still amazing, but Thor just takes the icing on the cake.  Dear Dallin is still my number one and can beat Thor anyday.  Don't worry!  He has a crush on Russell Crowe (kind of a big one) and Rachel McAdams (just a little one).

Life is good. Fall is coming with cooler weather which is exciting seeing as fall is my favorite season, especially in the Rocky Mountains with all the changing leaves.  We love you all!  Happy Labor Day.
