Caleb is 10 Months Old

Oh, our sweet baby Caleb. We secretly love that you are a little delayed because that just means you  get to seem younger, longer. Still so squishy and snuggly and wonderful.

But, you also have been very busy!

  • Started plank crawling. You will push up into a plank position then fling yourself forward to get somewhere.
  • Have sat up to sitting position from laying down a couple of times on your own, but still need a little help.
  • Started taking infant massage classes and you now love your nightly massage before bed. It has helped you not moan as much in your sleep, use your legs a little more and not superman so much on your belly.
  • Have decided that standing is for the birds since you mastered sitting and now just stick your bum out or pull your legs up whenever we try to get you to stand. Turkey.
  • Social butterfly, just like your brother. You know how to work a room and have everyone in it completely wrapped around your little finger.
  • Eating solids like a champ! Some of your favorites are: Noodles of any kind, mango, avocado, peas, pork, waffles (dad...), apples...really anything we put in front of you! You also mastered drinking from a straw and are getting better at drinking from a cup.
  • Have started finding the power of your voice and let us know when you are not happy or yell at Luke when he is a little too rough.
  • You love reading books and turning the pages
  • Still completely captivated by faces
  • Give the wettest, most open-mouthed, most loving kisses around. You just grab our faces, smile big and come in to lay one on us, mouth wide open. It's the best.
  • When I sing to you at nap time or bedtime you just look at me with the sweetest smile and soak in every word of every song.
  • Can sign for milk when you feel like it and also sign for something else, although we don't quiet know what it is, yet! Either mom or eat...you don't complain when we respond with either one.
  • Bath time is slowly becoming a favorite. You are starting to splash and think it is kind of funny/scary.
  • You eat grass and twigs when we are outside like it's your job
  • Blowing raspberries is your other part-time job. You've discovered when you blow them into buckets it echos and you do it at the most perfect times (like during prayer or a serious discussion) that we all just bust up laughing.
  • Your laugh is addicting
Can't believe in 2 months we will be celebrating your one-year birthday. It seems like just a couple of months ago we were waiting to see when we could bring you home from the NICU and love on you all day. Brings tears to my eyes thinking about that time because I can't imagine not having your bright, shining, silly self in our home every day.
